Market holiday calendar 2026

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has released its list of trading holidays for 2026. Stock markets will remain closed for a total of 15 holidays during the upcoming year, starting with Republic Day on January 26.

Notably, four holidays have fallen on Saturdays or Sundays, when markets generally remain closed.

Annual stock market holiday calendar for 2026:

Investors will see the most number of holidays in March, when markets will remain closed for a total of three days on account of Holi (March 3), Shri Ram Navami (March 26) and Shri Mahavir Jayanti (March 31). The months of February, July and August will see no effective market holidays, as some of the effective national holidays fall on the weekends, when markets anyway remain closed.

When will Muhurat trading take place in 2026?

The stock exchange added that the muhurat trading session will be conducted on Sunday, November 8. The timings of the special session will be announced later.
