Mixed corporate-earnings reports and rising Treasury yields helped weigh on stocks this week, analysts said. The S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite and Dow Jones Industrial Average had risen for six straight weeks through Oct. 18, the longest winning streak of 2024.
The S&P 500 was up 32 points, or 0.6%, at 5,841.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 180 points, or 0.4%, at 42,553.
The Nasdaq Composite had gained 137 points, or 0.8%, at 18,552.
