DOW UPDATE
Behind declines for shares of Caterpillar and American Express, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is in selloff mode Friday afternoon. The Dow was most recently trading 359 points, or 1.1%, lower, as shares of Caterpillar and American Express are contributing to the index’s intraday decline. Caterpillar’s shares have declined $12.26, or 5.1%, while those of American Express are down $6.46, or 3.8%, combining for a roughly 123-point drag on the Dow. Goldman Sachs Salesforce and Walt Disney are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
