Caterpillar, Goldman Sachs share losses lead Dow's 267-point fall

DOW UPDATE

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is falling Friday afternoon with shares of Caterpillar and Goldman Sachs facing the biggest drops for the price-weighted average. Shares of Caterpillar and Goldman Sachs are contributing to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow was most recently trading 267 points lower (-0.8%). Caterpillar’s shares have declined $10.28 (4.3%) while those of Goldman Sachs have declined $11.53 (3.4%), combining for an approximately 144-point drag on the Dow. American Express Walt Disney and Salesforce are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
