SGX Nifty signals a positive start

Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 55 points, or 0.32 per cent, higher at 17,435.5, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a positive start on Tuesday.

Tech View: Nifty falls below 20-day SMA, signals weakness

Nifty50 on Monday plunged over 1 per cent and barely managed to hold the 17,300 level on a closing basis. The 50-pack index did not respect its 20-day simple moving average (SMA) but somehow managed to form a bullish candle on the daily chart, post a gap-down opening, reflecting intraday recovery. Some analysts believe more weakness is in the offing. Upside will be capped at 17,500-600 levels, they said.

Tokyo stocks open higher after sell-offs
