Salesforce Inc., Walmart share gains lead Dow's nearly 75-point jump

Buoyed by positive growth for shares of Salesforce Inc. and Walmart, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Thursday morning. The Dow DJIA, -0.29% is trading 73 points, or 0.2%, higher, as shares of Salesforce Inc. CRM, +2.09% and Walmart WMT, +1.82% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Salesforce Inc.’s shares are up $4.86 (2.9%) while those of Walmart are up $2.72 (2.3%), combining for an approximately 50-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Nike NKE, +1.38%, Procter & Gamble PG, +1.50%, and UnitedHealth UNH, +1.48%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
