Salesforce Inc., Chevron share gains contribute to Dow's 150-point jump

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up Tuesday afternoon with shares of Salesforce Inc. and Chevron leading the way for the index. Shares of Salesforce Inc. CRM, +2.28% and Chevron CVX, +1.98% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.55% was most recently trading 156 points, or 0.5%, higher. Salesforce Inc.’s shares are up $4.22 (2.3%) while those of Chevron have gained $3.23, or 1.8%, combining for a roughly 49-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Apple Inc. AAPL, +1.68%, Caterpillar CAT, +1.35%, and American Express AXP, +1.01%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
