Dow climbs 236 points on gains in Salesforce Inc., Boeing stocks

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Thursday afternoon with shares of Salesforce Inc. and Boeing delivering the strongest returns for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, +0.78% is trading 236 points, or 0.7%, higher, as shares of Salesforce Inc. CRM, +6.51% and Boeing BA, +6.71% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Salesforce Inc.’s shares have gained $12.41, or 7.1%, while those of Boeing are up $8.96, or 6.9%, combining for a roughly 141-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Nike NKE, +3.36%, Honeywell International Inc. HON, +2.25%, undefined Visa V, +1.88%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.59-point swing.
