American Express, Visa share losses contribute to Dow's 114-point fall

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Monday morning with shares of American Express and Visa seeing the biggest declines for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, -0.47% was most recently trading 114 points (0.3%) lower, as shares of American Express AXP, -3.07% and Visa V, -2.59% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. American Express’s shares are down $5.14 (2.9%) while those of Visa are down $5.63 (2.6%), combining for a roughly 71-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Coca-Cola KO, -1.90%, Boeing BA, -1.94%, and Procter & Gamble PG, -1.99%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.59-point swing.
