Dow's 717-point fall led by losses in shares of Intel, Salesforce Inc.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is slumping Friday afternoon with shares of Intel and Salesforce Inc. seeing the biggest losses for the blue-chip average. Shares of Intel INTC, -6.94% and Salesforce Inc. CRM, -5.27% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -2.77% was most recently trading 717 points lower (-2.1%). Intel’s shares have dropped $2.94 (6.3%) while those of Salesforce Inc. have dropped $8.26, or 4.5%, combining for a roughly 74-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Verizon Communications Inc. VZ, -4.32%, Walgreens Boots WBA, -4.78%, and Microsoft MSFT, -4.18%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
